Ancasta Guide to Port Solent

Ancasta's office in Port Solent is perfectly situated to service our vendors’ requirements, whether selling or buying. With two full-time brokers, we are in a great position to cover boats based in Port Solent Marina, along with those in Gosport, Portsmouth Harbour, Southsea and on Hayling Island.

Our office overlooks the whole site at Port Solent, and buyers can find access to the site through excellent transport links. There is plenty of storage ashore here, especially over the winter, and we also have berths on which we can give brokerage craft excellent exposure.

Port Solent is an 850 berth marina complex with a large and varied selection of bars, restaurants, shops and a cinema. It is very popular with first time buyers and experienced boat owners alike, who enjoy its atmosphere and convenience.

Our office has been firmly established here for nearly 20 years, is open seven days a week, and customers are assured of a warm welcome whatever stage they are at in the yacht buying process.

The moment you list your boat with this office, it is immediately available across our whole network – Falmouth to Brighton, Hamble to South of France, Cowes to Palma.

Rupert and Geraint at Port Solent did an outstanding job securing a sale that went very smoothly. The attention to detail on the documentation and paperwork from the outset ensured that once a buyer had been found, the transaction was able to progress swiftly to a conclusion. This is in stark contrast to my purchase with a different broker where the paperwork and admin were clearly an afterthought despite this being key to any transaction. I would definitely use Ancasta again for a sale or purchase.

Great service from Geraint and the rest of the team when selling our yacht. This was a long process requiring patience and diligence, but the whole team pulled together to push the sale though and no stone was left unturned when it came to sorting out unexpected issues. So many thanks for all your hard work - much appreciated.

We found Ancasta, Leo, Rupert and the team at Port Solent office, incredibly helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable. This was our first boat and we uncertain about the process, with their help it was simple, any questions we had, and we had a lot, were answered quickly. Collection of the boat was made simple, all paperwork was provided and importantly, explained to us, the boat was inspected, Leo’s knowledge of the operation and explanations of this boat were helpful and for myself a must. The bottle of champagne he brought for us was so appreciated, this together with the assurance that we could...
Boat Samsara
After several months of looking and two failed surveys, I have just completed the purchase of my first boat, a Jeanneau Merry Fisher 795. As a newcomer to boating I have to admit my first impression of boat brokers was pretty poor (compared to other industries I deal with) - descriptions were definitely on the optimistic side, boats were untidy, dirty and generally poorly presented. No excuses, just very poor sales and I would be careful who to list my boat with in the future. Then I came across Ancasta (Leo Walters) who shone bright like a beacon. The description of the boat was accurate, min...

I was amazed at the outstanding level of support and effectiveness Geraint and the team at Port Solent have provided through the sale of our yacht.  They achieved a very fair price in a short period of time – a far better outcome than my previous yacht sale experiences.  I would gladly recommend using Ancasta for yacht sales to my friends and family. Best

Dear Geraint Thank you for the confirmation. May I take this opportunity to say how pleased we both are with your service. Your skill and experience have been crucial to the success of this transaction. You have been efficient in all your actions, and precise and clear in all communications. When there was a hiccup, such as the engineering work required for the shaft, your contact with Marc Godden at Black Gang Marine was critical to getting the work carried out quickly and correctly. We are both very grateful to you and to Ancasta. Regards

"Excellent Company to Deal With " In early September I decided to sell my 2006 Monterey 250CR and after some good recommendations I decided to try ancasta boat brokerage in Port Solent I was greeted by a very friendly guy called Geraint who sat me down with a coffee and explained the whole process to me from start to finish which made me feel very at ease. As promised Geraint turned up a couple of days later photographed the boat and it was put on their website for sale the next day. Before I knew it I had a phone call from them and they had a buyer for the boat, we agreed a price and the deal...
